UTSC is hosting its second TEDx event in 2014! With a wealth of intellectual minds of students, faculty, and staff, we are confident and hopeful that we will create a community that is all about ideas worth spreading!

TEDxUTSC is bringing performers like yourselves the opportunity to showcase your talent on a local stage! You will get to be an integral part in marking UTSC on the global map, and making this Conference a success. So show us what you’ve got!

This application form must be filled out by October 30th in order for you to audition. If you want to nominate someone else, please do so by filling out this form as well.

Auditions will be held at UTSC and dates will be: Saturday November 2nd (SAT) and November 3rd (SUN), 2013. You will be asked to give a 3-5 minute performance.

1. When are the auditions?

 The auditions will be on November 2nd and November 3rd. Specific time and location TBD. ONLY successful applications/nominees will be contacted for an audition. 

2. How many performers are you looking for at the Conference?

 We are going to secure 2-3 performers for the 2014 Conference. 

3. What type of performances are you looking for?

We welcome performance of any type at our Conference! If you’ve got what it takes to engage our crowd then we want to hear from you! 

4. If we are accepted to perform at the conference, what happens next?

 Upon acceptance, you will be in close contact with the Director of Program Strategy, Ayesha Haq, on how to go on about incorporating your performance with the Conference’s theme, timing, style, and context. You may have to attend 1-2 meetings prior to the Conference and the dress rehearsal. 

5. What are the perks of performing at TEDxUTSC?

All of UTSC gets a chance to see your talent! You will be performing amongst a crowd of UTSC staff, faculty, alumni, big names in the community and several students.
