The TED conference is an annual gathering of big brains and cool creators in California. TEDx events are fully planned and coordinated independently, on a community-by-community basis. The goal of TEDxUTSC is to inspire a passion for spreading ideas in the local UTSC community. [/toggle] [toggle title=”When is the 2014 Conference?” id=”b3″] Our 2014 Conference will be held on February 1st (SAT). More details will be released closer to the date. [/toggle] [toggle title=”How long are the talks at TEDxUTSC?” id=”b4″] All talks are 15-20 minutes – the lengths are determined by our Productions and Speaker Relations team. [/toggle] [toggle title=”Who is speaking at TEDxUTSC?” id=”b5″] Interesting people. People at the top of their game. People just starting out. People who’ve done it all and can live to tell the tale. It’s a mix of speakers you won’t see anywhere else. We’ll be announcing members of our top shelf line-up as we get closer to the event. [/toggle] [toggle title=”Can Sponsors be Speakers?” id=”b6″] We love to have sponsors who are aligned with the TEDx mission, but we do not include speaker positions as part of our sponsorship programs. We have a couple of ways for you to get involved with TEDxUTSC:

• Tell us who you would like to see at our Conference as a Speaker by nominating an inspiring individual.
• If you are a thought leader with an idea worth spreading, nominate yourself on our Self-Nomination page. Deadline to apply is September 30th, 2013 for our 2014 Conference.
• If you are an organization or an expert in your field who would like to sponsor a particular component of our event (catering, venue design, technology, etc.) please contact [email protected].
• If you have ideas on how we can make this the best conference ever, let us know at [email protected].

[toggle title=”What if I can’t attend the conference?” id=”b8″] If you are unable to attend our conference, never fear! We will be live streaming the conference online so you will be able to tune in through other ways. Additionally, all the videos of our TEDxUTSC talks will be available on our website after the conference.
